A slate grey Indian cotton by Merchant and Mills with ecru woven spots. Jamdani is fine muslin cotton with small circular motifs, it’s a highly skilled weaving technique that has been practiced in India for centuries. To give you a sense of scale the spots are 2cm x 2.5cm.
The cloth comes alive once washed, it gets much softer and has a beautiful slub and texture.
This is a light-weight cotton which is perfect for summer tops, blouses, shirts. gathered skirts and dresses. As this fabric is woven by hand it is sometimes susceptible to irregularities which are part of its charm and not a flaw.

Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.
Merchant and Mills recommend that you machine wash this fabric on a cool cycle with a mild detergent before you start your sewing project. Do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Cool iron. They also recommend not using this for something that will sit in direct sunlight.
