Merchant and Mills Trapeze Dress Sewing Pattern. This style is Merchant and Mills’ classic signature dress, it's a really versatile sewing pattern that works well in a wide range of fabrics from twill to chambray, linens, most denims, and from Harris Tweed to fine suiting.
Recently updated by Merchant and Mills, you have the option of making this 3/4 sleeved, sleeveless and short sleeved, all with a button back opening, or without. There is also a lengthen/shorten line so you can make it into a top.
Skill level • Suitable for beginners
This is a multi-size paper sewing pattern in an envelope, including sizes 8 – 18. Seam allowances are included at 1.5cm, unless otherwise stated.
Suggested fabrics • linen, cotton/linen mixes, wool suiting and lambswool
Trims needed • matching thread / fusible interfacing (see fabric requirements) / if making the buttoned versions then you will also need 6 x 20-23mm buttons for the top and 10 for the dress
