MERCHANT AND MILLS • Jacquard Square Cotton Fabric • Hardy Falls
This product is unavailable
This layered cotton by Merchant and Mills has a jacquard weave that gives it a quilted look and feel. This colourway, Hardy Falls, is a beautiful khaki green.
The reverse is a gauzy cotton, there is no batting in the middle of this cloth, the inside is made up of a series of thicker yarns which gives it the quilted feel. The top is a fine cotton. To give you a sense of sacle, the squares are approximately 4cm.
Made in India, this fabric is only produced in 5 metre lengths.
If possible, Merchant and Mills would advise overlocking your raw edges before sewing to prevent fraying.
We can see this being used for throws, quilts, quilted jackets, oversized cushions, and smaller cosmetic bags. Merchant & Mills have made their Sidney Sweatshirt in this fabric base, and Megan Nielsen has used it for the Hovea Jacket.
100% Cotton • 120cm wide
Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.
Merchant and Mills recommend that you machine wash this fabric on a cool cycle with a mild detergent before you start your sewing project. Do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Cool iron. They also recommend not using this for something that will sit in direct sunlight.
