MERCHANT & MILLS • Hand Printed Cotton • Fort Mills
Fort Mills, this geometric hand printed spot design beautifully illustrates the fact that sometimes less is more. These earthy tones compliment the design and make for a more traditional artisan hand block printed fabric.
Printed in Jaipur, traditional hand printed and dyed techniques are used to make this beautiful rural cloth.
This summer weight fabric would look fabulous made up as a lightweight dress, The Dress Shirt springs to mind but any of the dress patterns by Merchant and Mills would look equally good, as would skirts and shirts.
This fabric is indigo dyed. For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running, however Indigo will continue to get lighter over time as it will never truly fix.
