NANI IRO • Bear Fruits Quilted Organic Cotton Lawn Fabric • Black • NEW

Quilted version of Nani Iro's new design Bear Fruits. Inspired by nature and the seasons, it's printed in cream onto a black organic cotton lawn. The motifs in this design are drawn using a series of small dots.

“This stippled piece is inspired by my favorite old European fabric.
I drew the dots using sumi ink, bringing together the wild grapes on the fabric and the wildflowers in front of my eyes.
The finish also reminds of resist dyeing, an old Japanese dyeing method”. - Naomi Ito

The vertical linear stitch lines are approximately 25mm apart. The backing fabric is a cream cotton fabric as shown below. Perfect for jackets such as the one featured in Issue 7 of TAUKO Magazine (see last image) which was made in a previous season's quilted Nani Iro, the Hovea and the ZW Bell Jacket, coats including the Nova and Lab Coat.

This design would work really well cut on the crossgrain to make use of the print design running along each selvedge which can then be used at the hems.

100% Quilted Organic Cotton Lawn • 110cm wide ∙ 270gms/m

Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.

We recommend that you machine wash this fabric at 30 degrees before you start your sewing project.
