The Sanda Sewing Pattern by Merchant and Mills is an oversized coat or jacket with a rolled collar and turn back cuffs. The coat has inseam pockets and the jacket has patch pockets. You can choose to make either lined or unlined.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
This is a multi-size paper sewing pattern including sizes 6 – 18. The pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step sewing instructions required to complete your project.
Skill level • Intermediate
Suggested fabrics • Dry oilskin, oilskin, linen, 7-12oz denim, wool, corduroy, cotton twill or canvas. A heaver weight cloth with result in a more structured coat.
For linings Merchant and Mills suggest their barrier lining if using an oilskin, otherwise - cotton voile, lightweight linen, cotton poplin, lightweight wool and slip linings.
*If you are a curvy size 18, they would recommend selecting the UK 18-28 size range.

Trims needed • matching thread / 4 x 20mm buttons (Jacket) / 6 x 20mm buttons (coat) / 0.35m pocket bag lining (Unlined Coat) / 0.2m patch pocket lining (Unlined Jacket) / 0.25m x 5mm seam tape / 1.4m interfacing (Coat)* / 0.8m interfacing (Jacket)*
*Interfacing not needed if using Oilskin
