Jaffa by Merchant and Mills is a subtle hand woven check in orange and black. To give you a sense of scale the squares are 3.3cm.
This is a soft, light-weight cotton which is perfect for summer tops, blouses, shirts etc. It's fairly sheer so you may wish to either line it or wear something underneath. As this fabric is woven by hand it is sometimes susceptible to irregularities which are part of its charm and not a flaw. It's shown here made up in the Ellsworth Shirt.

Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.
Merchant and Mills recommend that you machine wash this fabric on a cool cycle with a mild detergent before you start your sewing project. Do not tumble dry. Shake out and dry flat. Cool iron. They also recommend not using this for something that will sit in direct sunlight.
