EVENTS AND OPEN STUDIO
One of the loveliest parts of running The Draper's Daughter is meeting fellow dressmakers and sharing my love of beautiful fabrics and sewing in person.
Throughout the year, I enjoy taking part in selected textile events and welcoming visitors to my garden studio in Chichester, West Sussex.
Our Open Studio days are a chance to explore the fabrics, see their colours and textures up close, browse sewing patterns and find inspiration for your next handmade project.

I'd love to welcome you to The Draper's Daughter studio in Chichester for our next Open Studio.
Come along and enjoy a relaxed browse through our carefully curated collection of dressmaking fabrics, including beautiful Japanese textiles from Nani Iro, Kokka and Hokkoh, alongside European linens, distinctive textured cottons and other thoughtfully selected fabrics.
You'll also find a collection of contemporary sewing patterns from independent designers, including The Assembly Line, Merchant & Mills and Tessuti, together with a small selection of useful haberdashery.
Whether you have a particular sewing project in mind, would like to see some fabrics in person or simply fancy a little creative inspiration, it would be lovely to see you.

Entry is via the side gate... there's no need to book — simply drop in any time between 10am and 2pm. Both cash and card payments are welcome.

If you're travelling to visit the studio, why not take the opportunity to explore Chichester while you're here?
For art and inspiration, I'd recommend Pallant House Gallery and Oxmarket Contemporary. There are also some lovely independent shops to discover, including Winter's Moon and Artisan Gallery.
And if you're planning to stop for coffee or lunch, Luckes, Purchases and The Little Barn are all worth exploring.
