Designed by Naomi Ito, Gunsei is a new botanical print by Nani Iro. Inspired by bamboo lillies, this lovely design has a lovely linear quality to it.

"The beauty of bamboo lilies, the tranquility and richness they radiate. I imagine that a piece of cloth is made from plant fibres over an endless period of time, and
that there are bamboo lilies swaying on top of it, gently emitting their scent in the wind. I finished the work while imagining a piece of cloth that has that kind of feeling next to our daily lives." - Naomi Ito

A light blue grey and metallic gold are printed onto a navy background to create a beautiful, sophisticated colourway. Printed on a cotton/linen single gauze fabric. It's a lovely quality fabric which gets softer when washed and worn, perfect for sewing top, shirts, dresses, skirts as well as loose trousers.

Our Scanfil 100% Organic Cotton Thread in Almost Black is a good match for this fabric and is available in spools of 100M and 275M.

85% Cotton / 15% Linen • 106cm wide ∙ weight 180gms m2 • made in Japan

Price is per HALF metre. So, if you require 1.5 metres for example, you’ll need to enter 3 in the quantity box.

We recommend that you machine wash this fabric at 30 degrees before you start your sewing project.
