Merchant and Mills The Niven Dress Sewing Pattern. Designed by Merchant and Mills, the Niven sewing pattern is a classic shirt-dress or shirt featuring a bib, grandad collar and cuffed sleeves. The dress has in-seam pockets and has been designed to be an oversized fit.

Skill level ∙ suitable for experienced sewists.

This is a multi-size paper sewing pattern in an envelope including UK 6 – 18. The pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step sewing instructions to complete your project. All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.

Suggested fabrics ∙ Merchant and Mills recommend fabrics with a tight weave to help with sewing the fine detailing; light to medium weight wovens such as cotton poplin, cotton chambray, Indian handlooms, hemp/cotton, lightweight denim (4-6oz).
