MERCHANT AND MILLS • The Paynter Jacket Sewing Pattern (Unisex) • NEW

£19.50
- +

Merchant and Mills The Paynter Jacket Sewing Pattern. Paynter Jacket Co. make limited edition jackets four times a year that are made to order, so there's no waste from over production. Their jackets are classic pieces that will stand the test of time and get better with age. The Field Jacket is Paynter's first make-your-own jacket sewing pattern in collaboration with Merchant & Mills.

All paper patterns will include two woven labels, one is to be positioned inside the jacket near the hip and the other is a smaller label for the back neck. The larger label has been designed by @hello.ludio. Lucie’s design features the sun and the moon to represent time and getting lost in the practice of making.

Skill level ∙ Intermediate. Merchant and Mills have posted a blog post that shows you how to change the hip pocket to a patch pocket, this makes it an easier sew and also means you go through slightly less layers so you could use a thicker fabric. Click HERE to view over on their website.

This is a multi-size paper sewing pattern including sizes XS – XXL. Seam allowances are included in the pattern at 1.5cm, unless otherwise stated. The pattern comes carefully packaged in an envelope together with step-by-step sewing instructions to complete your project.

Suggested fabrics  Merchant and Mills recommend light to medium weight wovens up to 8oz, cotton twills, denim, wool and dry oilskin. There are 9 layers to sew through during the pocket construction, so check the fabric you choose can be accommodated by your sewing machine.
