From Japanese textile designer Naomi Ito, Fuwari Fuwari by Nani Iro is a beautifully expressive painterly floral printed on soft cotton double gauze. The Japanese phrase fuwari fuwari evokes a sense of softness, lightness and floating — perfectly capturing the gentle, airy quality of this much-loved textile design.
The mid-scale floral is painted in tones of turquoise, pink and fresh green against a white background. The combination of expressive brushstrokes and colour gives the fabric a fresh, contemporary feel while retaining the distinctive artistic quality for which Nani Iro fabrics are known.
Printed onto Nani Iro's signature cotton double gauze base, this fabric is exceptionally soft, breathable and comfortable against the skin. Its gentle texture and easy drape make it particularly well suited to relaxed garments and effortless layering pieces.

Nani Iro double gauze is formed from two fine layers of cotton gently joined together, creating a beautifully soft and breathable fabric with a subtle natural texture. At 140gsm, Fuwari Fuwari is lightweight and comfortable while offering enough body for a wide variety of dressmaking projects.
Sewing notes:
• Exceptionally soft and breathable against the skin
• Gentle drape with the characteristic texture of double gauze
• Ideal for relaxed silhouettes, gathers and soft volume
• Take care not to over-press, to retain the fabric's natural texture
• Pre-wash recommended to allow for any shrinkage
Care instructions: We recommend machine washing at 30°C before sewing to allow for any shrinkage. Do not tumble dry.
