Aspen Stripe by Merchant & Mills is a beautifully textured seersucker stripe made from organic cotton in a rich, deep forest green. This exclusive Merchant & Mills colourway has a softly crinkled surface that adds visual interest while remaining breathable and comfortable to wear.
With its ideal weight for spring and transitional sewing, Aspen Stripe is perfect for shirts, dresses and lightweight trousers. It works particularly well for relaxed, everyday garments such as the Ellis or Niven Dress, where its natural texture and easy drape really shine.
Woven on Indian handlooms, this fabric may feature subtle irregularities in the weave. These variations are a hallmark of traditional craftsmanship and add to the character of the cloth, rather than being considered flaws.
For the first couple of washes, place the fabric in the washing machine drum at 30 or 40 degrees with a handful of table salt. This will help fix the dye to prevent it running.
100% Organic Cotton (GOTS) • 117cm wide • 162gms m/2 • made in India

We recommend that you machine wash this fabric at 30 degrees before you start your sewing project. Ironing will not loose the surface seersucker texture.
