  • Press pleats and seams thoroughly to highlight the design lines
  • Consider using contrast binding inside the waistband for a thoughtful finish

What is zero waste sewing?

Zero waste pattern cutting is a method of designing garments so that the full piece of fabric is used, eliminating or significantly reducing offcuts. Instead of cutting around traditional pattern pieces, shapes are drawn directly onto the fabric, creating an efficient and sustainable layout.

This approach not only reduces waste but also encourages a more considered and creative way of sewing.
