MERCHANT AND MILLS • The Hattie and Ellis Dress Sewing Pattern
Printed sewing pattern • Sizes UK 8–18 • Skill level: Intermediate
The Hattie & Ellis Dress Sewing Pattern by Merchant & Mills offers two beautifully distinct styles in one pattern, combining versatility with thoughtful, workwear-inspired design. Whether you prefer the softly structured silhouette of Ellis or the more relaxed, statement feel of Hattie, this pattern allows you to create garments to suit your mood and style.
Both variations feature four decorative neck darts, adding subtle detail and shaping to the neckline. Ellis offers a more traditionally feminine shape, with bust darts, a defined waist, set-in sleeves and in-seam pockets. Hattie, by contrast, has a looser, more playful feel, with a dropped waist, lined bodice and bold patch pockets that give it a distinctive, modern edge.
Designed with Merchant & Mills’ signature focus on practicality and longevity, these dresses are ideal for creating pieces that feel both considered and wearable.
